Student Spotlight
What is your name and where do you live?
My name is Tak McLeod-Smith and I live in Melbourne, Australia.
What have you been able to do your senior year because you attend The Bridge School?
The Bridge School has allowed me to dedicate time to my passion while providing me with a terrific education. It is with the help of The Bridge School that I have been able to travel the world as a ballet dancer, and study for my High School Diploma over the past two years.
What’s your favorite part about attending The Bridge School?
There have been so many incredible experiences with The Bridge School, but the ones that will stick with me are the conversations I had with my teachers. The teachers are here to help us with any questions we may have, and always go far and beyond to help us out. The teachers at The Bridge School are always checking in on us, not only about academic work, but also our specialties. I have had many enjoyable conversations with my teachers about my ballet education and where I am in the world.
What are your future plans?
I am blessed to have been given so many fantastic opportunities over the past 2 years. Thanks to The Bridge School my future paths are wide open. For the 2023-24 season I have been given a place in the graduation class at one of the top ballet schools in the world, the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia. Due to current world standings, I may not be able to attend. Thankfully, The Bridge School has given me the aspirations to pursue further education, and with the vast education they have provided me, I will be able to attend University in my home country of Australia.
